Duncanville man dies in single-vehicle crash in Tuscaloosa County

A 61-year-old Duncanville man died Friday night after a crash in Tuscaloosa County.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Nathaniel T. West was killed when his 2009 Toyota Matrix left the road, struck a culvert and overturned.

West was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred around 7 p.m. on Slayton Road near Double Gate Estate, about six miles east of the city of Tuscaloosa.

Troopers said West was not wearing a seat belt.

No further information was provided. ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division is conducting an investigation into the crash.
