Households across England can get extra help paying their heating bills when temperatures fall below a certain point.
Cold Weather Payments, which are paid by the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), are a £25 one-off payment given to people who claim certain benefits when it gets especially cold.
The scheme runs between November and March each year and is usually paid out during periods of very cold weather.
