EastEnders’ Cindy Beale has been killed off from the soap – and fans ‘know’ exactly who murdered her.

The soap legend (Michelle Collins) made her comeback to the soap last year – 25 years since she was last seen on screen. And since her return, Cindy’s caused plenty of drama in Walford.

Not only has she struck up an affair with her ex-husband George Knight’s (Colin Salmon) son, Junior (Micah Balfour), but Cindy has also been spinning lie after lie.

However, on Christmas Day, Cindy’s world came crashing down when her affair was exposed via an audio clip, played out to the whole pub.

Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) was devastated to learn his partner was cheating on him and didn’t feel satisfied with him. Meanwhile, George was horrified about her romance with his son.

Every character, including daughters Anna (Molly Rainford) and Gina (Francesca Henry) and son Peter (Thomas Law) turned on Cindy one by one. Eventually, Ian saw right through Cindy and kicked her out – leaving her devastated. However, near the end of the episode things took a shocking turn.

Cindy, with nowhere to go, then wandered through the square. But suddenly, an unknown person picked up a large metal spade and slammed it over Cindy’s head.

Cindy then fell to the ground lifeless, appearing to confirm that the soap icon is now dead. Now, fans are certain they know who is behind the attack – and it’s not who you think. While many reckon it could be her daughters Anna or Gina, other fans are convinced it could be Cindy’s estranged daughter Cindy Jr (Mimi Keene).

On an EastEnders Facebook fan page, one person wrote: “Cindy Junior was the slayer….” Someone else penned: “I was thinking this too.” A third chimed in: “I would love this!” What’s more, other viewers reckon it could have been Kojo (Dayo Koleosho) – who Cindy was blackmailing after he saw her and Junior together – after a cryptic comment Kojo made.

Following the shock affair reveal, Kojo promised George he would “make it up to you”. One said on the fan page: “My votes on Kojo, least expected.” Someone else wrote: “Kojo hit cindy bc he said ‘ill make it up to you’ to george and i think they might be onto something.”
