EastEnders confirms Nish’s attack victim in early iPlayer release

EastEnders spoilers follow for Wednesday’s episode (October 16), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn’t yet aired on TV.

EastEnders has confirmed the victim of Nish Panesar’s brutal attack in the show’s latest episode.

This week, Nish arranged for his and Suki’s grandson Tye to visit, a huge occasion considering that the Panesars don’t have a good relationship with Tye’s mum Habiba Ahmed.

Nish wanted to use this opportunity to get closer to Suki, but he overheard his ex-wife and Eve talking about how Tye won’t remember him because he will die soon.

Later, he made a mysterious phone call, ordering his contact to attack someone and put them in hospital – but it wasn’t revealed who his target was.

In today’s episode, Nish’s victim was revealed, as Eve received a phone call from her estranged dad who told her that her mum had been mugged and had ended up in hospital.

Eve immediately made plans for her and Suki go to Yorkshire, but when Suki told her family the news, Nish reminded her that she would be missing potentially her only opportunity to see her grandson.

Suki and Eve prepared to leave, but at that moment Nish arrived at the house with Tye, and Suki was thrilled to see him.

Conflicted about what to do, Suki argued that this might not be the right way to meet Eve’s parents and suggested that she stay in Walford.

Eve realised that the real reason was that she wanted to spend time with Tye and she left for Yorkshire, hurt by Suki’s decision.

Before she caught her train, Eve explained the situation to Stacey in the café, and Stacey made Eve recognise that going on her own was perhaps the right thing to do.

Later, while the Panesar clan were spending time with Tye, Eve video-called Suki and apologised for snapping at her, stressing the importance of being with family.

As Eve was introduced to Tye over the phone, Nish watched the heartwarming moment and realised that his latest plan to get between Suki and Eve hadn’t worked.

What will Nish decide to do next?

EastEnders airs on Mondays – Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
