EastEnders fans ‘work out’ who attacked Cindy Beale after spotting clue in sinister letter

EastEnders icon Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) was realised from the hospital on Thursday (January 16) after she was attacked on Christmas Day. Earlier this week, Cindy woke up from a coma and revealed she had witnessed Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) at the scene before losing consciousness.

Pregnant Lauren was arrested for Cindy’s attempted murder before later being released on bail. Lauren then secretly told her boyfriend Peter Beale (Thomas Law) that it was true and she had found Cindy lying in the snow that night but left her for dead.

But as Lauren had taken more pills her memory was fuzzy and she couldn’t recall all of the movements on Christmas night. But Peter might have something to hide too, as he was later seen burning a bloodied scarf on a barbeque.

In the latest trip to Walford, Cindy returned to Albert Square after being released from hospital and was forced to stay with Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) as Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) wouldn’t let her home.

Cindy didn’t receive a warm welcome from the Beale’s or the Knight’s but it was Ravi (Aaron Thiara) who called Cindy to inform her Lauren had asked him for drugs.

She confronted Lauren in the café and was shocked to realise that Peter already knew. Later in the episode, Lauren visited Cindy as they pair appeared to call it quits following their constant feuds.

The guilt eventually got too much for Lauren, and she decided to tell her the truth about the night of the attack. But before she could get the words out, a brick came flying through the window.

Cindy and Lauren read the note attached, which said: “You should have stayed dead. Now I’m coming for you”, leaving them both shocked.

But EastEnders fans think Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) as she seemed affected by Cindy’s presence in the Square and suggested she visited her mum, and take a present with her.

Meanwhile, Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) is behind Cindy’s brutal attacks, as she seemed affected by her presence in the Square and suggested she visited her mum, and take a present with her.

A second stated: “Anna or Kojo obviously whacked her #EastEnders”, while a third chimed in: “Anna being the only person to show an interest in Cindy upon her return is very suspicious #EastEnders.”

“Starting to think it could be Anna or Gina, who attacked Cindy #EastEnders”, said another.
