Emmerdale teases Tom King’s downfall in latest episode

Emmerdale spoilers follow from Thursday’s episode (November 21), which is available to watch now on streaming service ITVX but hasn’t yet aired on ITV1.

Emmerdale hinted at Tom King’s downfall in Thursday’s episode as Vanessa Woodfield gave him a stern warning.

The villain is still no closer to facing justice over his evil abuse of his wife Belle, although show bosses have promised that the tables will finally turn on him in the coming weeks.

In Thursday’s visit to the Dales, Vanessa struggled with Tom’s return to work at the vets after he’d blackmailed his way back into the business.

Although Vanessa found herself having to tolerate Tom’s presence once again, she made it clear that they’d never be on friendly terms.

In a tense workplace exchange, Vanessa pointedly compared Tom to the familiar story of a “big, bad wolf” who’d attacked an innocent girl.

She said: “This big, bad wolf – he was so clever, Tom. He pretended to be something he wasn’t. He tricked the girl, he tricked everyone. He got his claws and his teeth into the sweet little girl.

“But when people heard her scream, they came to her rescue and thank God, the wolf ran away.

“With the wolf gone, that girl, she lived happily ever after.”

With Emmerdale bosses promising that Tom and Belle’s story will reach a conclusion over the next few weeks, Vanessa’s words could prove prophetic when it comes to both of their futures.

Meanwhile, there were further developments for the King family when Nicola decided to move back home, along with her kids, to be with her husband Jimmy.

The couple have been at odds due to Jimmy’s ongoing loyalty towards Tom, which isn’t shared by a distrusting Nicola.

When Tom put on a show of Nicola’s return being a happy outcome, she warned him: “It’ll only be happy when you’re out of this house – and hopefully in a prison cell.

“We might be back, but nothing’s changed. I still feel ill just looking at you.”

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
