An endangered big cat somehow wound up in an Illinois suburb. For several days, authorities were getting calls about a large feline-like creature stalking through Hoffman Estates, a village about an hour from Chicago. It turned out to be a caracal, an internationally protected endangered species that is not native to the United States. It took several police and animal control officers to safely capture the animal who was found hiding under the deck of a house.
