The Facebook Messenger app for desktops is now available:

The Facebook Messenger desktop app for Windows and Mac is now available so you can make video calls and chat with friends and family.

 

San Francisco: Giant social media Facebook announced on 2 April 2020 on a blog that,

Today we are launching Messenger app for Macintosh and Windows so you can video chat on your computer and stay connected with your friends and family all over the world.

 

Advantages and Benefits:

  1. Video calls are available on a bigger screen
  2. Easy to connect with people on messenger through your email id
  3. Desktop messenger notification available
  4. Dark mode and gifs available 
  5. Multitasking means you can do other work and use messenger at the same time.

We saw a more than 100% increase in the past month in people using their desktop browser for audio and video calling on Messenger. Now, with apps for macOS and Windows, the best of Messenger is coming to desktops, including unlimited and free group video calls, said Facebook.
