Farmer with snowplough rescues guests trapped in Britain’s highest pub

Guests stranded at the Tan Hill Inn in North Yorkshire since Saturday were rescued on Tuesday after snowploughs reached the remote pub. Four guests stayed behind, including two German tourists and a dog. Despite running out of sausages and Malbec wine, the pub had enough supplies to last 40 days. Staff kept guests entertained, and the inn, famed for its isolation, has faced similar weather challenges before.
