Felittese Festival wraps up in Old Forge

OLD FORCE, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — After a weather hiccup on Saturday, conditions could not be better for the final day of a festival in Old Forge.

The Felittese Festival took place all weekend to celebrate the borough’s new, sister city partnership with Felitto, Italy.

A delegation from Felitto was on hand for the signing of the partnership which highlights shared culture and history.

Festival goers could not stop praising the warm atmosphere, entertainment, and incredible food.

“It’s very welcoming, great hospitality, and great food, it doesn’t get better than that,” said Philadelphia resident Angelina Stella.

A new sign commemorating the partnership with Felitto will be displayed on Main Street in Old Forge while in Felitto, a granite sign will bear the name of Old Forge for all to see the special international connection.
