Several people were injured, some critically, in a shooting in Westport on Wednesday night.
Kansas City police officers were on the scene of the shooting, which took place near a hookah lounge, around 9 p.m. Wednesday, according to Sgt. Phil DiMartino, a KCPD spokesperson.
Multiple shots were fired, DiMartino said. At least five people were injured in the shooting, he said. Three have been injured critically.
The scene of the shooting remains active as Kansas City police begin their investigation. No fatalities have been reported.
