With weeks before the Democratic National Convention that would have formally nominated President Joe Biden to be the party’s candidate for president of the United States in an election less than four months away, Biden ended his reelection campaign and dropped out of the race.
So what happens with the Florida delegates who were already pledged to him?
Florida Democratic Chair Nikki Fried announced Monday that within 24 hours of Biden’s announcement, 236 of Florida’s 254-member delegation had signed a letter endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris.

Almost a year ago, ocean surface temperatures around Florida’s coasts hit record-breaking levels – making it too dangerous for swimmers in some areas of the state.
And while hot water does typically mean a busy hurricane season, it also means less time spent enjoying the beach. After all, 90- to-100-degree water can only be so refreshing.

National Hurricane Center hoping new cone will stop fixation on Saffir-Simpson Scale
And speaking of hurricane season… The National Hurricane Center‘s new experimental tropical cyclone forecast cone graphic will be coming out in mid-August, just in time for the peak period of hurricane season.
The new cone will add tropical storm and hurricane watches and warnings for interior counties in the path of the storm. The current cone displays watches and warnings only for coastal counties.
