Frontier Airlines has announced big changes to accommodate frequent fliers in 2025, including first-class seating and other perks.
The budget airline is calling the rollout of these premium offerings “The New Frontier.”
“Travelers should expect more from their airline and, in 2025, Frontier will deliver as we continue our transformation into the most rewarding airline in the sky,” CEO Barry Biffle stated in a news release. “We’ve listened to customers, and they want more—more premium options, like first class seating, attainable seat upgrades, more free travel for their companions, and the ability to use miles on more than just airfare.”

First-class seating is new to the airline, though Frontier did introduce “UpFront Plus” this year. The higher tier is located at the front of the aircraft and guarantees an empty middle seat.
Here are the perks travelers can enjoy on Frontier flights in 2025:
-
First class seats: Frontier will transform the first two rows on aircraft into spacious first-class seating. The new tier will be available in late 2025.
-
Free seat upgrades: Starting early next year, members with Elite Gold status and above will get complimentary seat upgrades to first class, UpFront Plus, or premium seating on every flight where available.
-
Unlimited free companion travel: Platinum and Diamond Elite members can fly with a companion at no extra cost on any flight starting in mid-2025.
-
Redeeming miles: Frontier will offer new options to frequent fliers for using miles beyond airfare. Starting in mid-2025, miles can be redeemed for baggage, seat upgrades, and other add-ons.
