Sep. 7—A Gilford man has been charged with manslaughter after a man in his home was found shot in the chest, police said in a Saturday news release.
Brian Horvath, 45, of 28 Timber Lane, was arrested after an investigation into the death at his home Friday night, according to the release.
Gilford police responded to a 911 call shortly before 10 p.m. reporting a male with a single gunshot wound to the chest. After police investigated the scene, Horvath was brought in for questioning and ultimately charged with manslaughter and reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, both felonies.
Police said Horvath is being held at Belknap County jail in Laconia pending his arraignment Monday afternoon.
The news release did not identify the deceased male.
