Jan. 8—GRAND FORKS — A Grand Forks man was sentenced Wednesday, Jan. 8, to 50 months in federal prison for two methamphetamine distribution crimes.
Nolli Hedaira Neal Sr., 51, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and conspiracy to possess a controlled substance with intent to distribute. Each has a maximum 20-year sentence.
Court documents allege that he and his son, Nolli Hedira Neal Jr., moved more than 500 grams of a mixture containing methamphetamine. Nolli Neal Jr., accused also of distributing approximately 315 grams of methamphetamine across four dates and possessing firearms for their drug operation, is scheduled to be sentenced Feb. 20.

The two men were charged at the state level in March of 2024. Months later,
they were charged federally,
and the district cases were dismissed.
Nolli Neal Sr. has credit for time served in federal custody that will go toward his 50-month sentence, though the judgment does not specify the number of days. After release from imprisonment, he will be on three years of supervised probation.
