San Francisco: Facebook-owned Insta total monthly active users are more than 1 billion and millions of people use Instagram daily to share photos, videos with people around the world.
The company announced that the new feature would allow users to send a message to their Insta friends even using an Internet browser.
The company says users around the world can use the Direct Message feature message in the Web Desktop version.
Instagram also shared a video explaining how to use the feature.
The video states that open Insta and log in with your ID on an Internet browser.
After that, the arrow will appear in the Home icon next to the right, when the user clicks on it, a direct message window will open.
The IDs and their sent messages will be seen here on the right. The user should send his message by clicking on the friend to whom the message should be sent.
According to the technology watchdog, the company started work on this feature earlier this year and was later introduced for testing, which revealed some flaws.
The direct message allows users to chat as a group and using this feature they can send pictures to their friends.
