This article has been updated to include comments from the Greenville County School Board of Trustees chairperson.
Greenville County School Board Trustee member Sarah Adrianna Dulin was arrested on Monday and charged with third-degree domestic violence, according to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.
Dulin struck her husband in the head with a “tumbler mug,” causing injury, according to an arrest warrant. Her husband, who was not named and lives in the same home with Dulin, gave a written statement to authorities.
Dulin, 46, of Simpsonville, represents Area 27 and has been on the school board since 2020. During the 2024-2025 election, she successfully ran a campaign focusing on student and staff safety, higher salaries for teachers and student resources, and increased monitoring of tax collection and spending.

In a statement, Carolyn Styles, chairperson of the Greenville County School Board, said she was informed that a trustee had been arrested and notified the other trustees.
“I will continue to monitor the situation and keep the board informed of any developments.” Styles said. “As always, the board remains committed to ensuring the children in our community receive the best education possible and can thrive in their current and future pursuits.”
Styles added that the district has a code of ethics for trustees that requires “we comply with all applicable laws, statutes, ordinances, and governmental rules and regulations. Board Policy BHB addresses procedures for enforcement of the Code of Ethics.”
