Hamas health authority reports 61 killed in recent Israeli attacks

Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip have claimed the lives of 61 people and injured more than 280 over the past 24 hours, the Hamas-controlled health authority in the region reported.

The authority does not distinguish between combat and civilian casualties, and the information is not independently verifiable.

According to the authority, more than 46,000 people have been killed and more than 110,000 have been injured since the attacks on Israel mounted by Hamas from the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) maintains it does all it can to avoid civilian casualties. Israeli troops have recently been killed in repeated incidents in the region, particularly in the north.
