Sabir Shakir has sent his resignation to the ARY President Salman Iqbal, he worked at ARY for the past 17 years.

Today, the various journalists and anchors confirmed that ARY has forcefully taken Sabir Shakir off-air after the pressure from the powerful lobby. Where is Sabir Shakir? How is the pressure to take Sabir off air? Where are democracy and freedom of the press? Such measures are a slap in the face to the so-called democratic rulers, says Sami Ibrahim.

Sabir Shakir is another powerful journalist and anchor that has exposed the imported government multiple times on TV and social media. The scare tactics are not new in Pakistan, especially among journalists. Sabir earlier said that I am receiving death threats too that we will abduct you and throw you, we will teach you a lesson. I was planning to be picked up and tortured, to make a lesson, last night Arshad Sharif has shared the video in the program in which he said he received this information from the source. I have also received this information and let everyone knows about it, as I believe in Allah and he is the best planner.

ARY is yet to respond on why Sabir Shakir has been taken off-air, EMEA TRIBUNE has sent the question to the ARY Management, and has yet to receive a response. Currently, Sabir is doing videos and vlogs on his YouTube channel.

I was traveling from one city to another outside the country. I saw the news of my off-airing. Thanks to all my friends, followers and viewers. Many messages have also come. I am not off air! I will return to my homeland soon and I will address you through my program. Love, love, sincere prayers, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
