It’s time to get creative with your turkey leftovers because they may be approaching a best-by date depending on where you stored them.
Thanksgiving leftovers are safe to eat for up to four days when stored in your fridge, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. However, you must have kept your Thanksgiving dishes at the appropriate temperatures as they sat out during your holiday meal or refrigerated the food within two hours of serving to have been safe to keep. USDA recommends discarding food that sat out for more than two hours at room temperature due to the risk of foodborne illness.
The USDA said that leftovers should be reheated to an internal temperature of at least 165 degrees.

You can freeze Thanksgiving leftovers. According to the USDA, they will keep the best quality for two to six months.
