Beryl made its third and final landfall in Texas early Monday morning near Matagorda as a Category 1 hurricane.

Monday and into Tuesday, the Weather Channel expects Beryl to weaken to a tropical storm and then a tropical depression as its center tracks inland over East Texas. It is then likely to merge with a front and bring rain to portions of the Ozarks, Mississippi and Ohio valleys, Great Lakes and interior Northeast.
