Italy (International Desk): According to foreign media reports, Ikramuddin, the Focal Person for Italy at the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis, has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the passing of Pope Francis. Speaking to international media, he stated, “I share the sorrow of the Christian community, the Vatican, and followers of Pope Francis around the world. ”He added that the Christian community in Europe and across the globe has lost a great spiritual leader today, which is truly saddening. “Pope Francis’s death is a great loss to the international community, interfaith harmony, and humanity,” he said. Ikramuddin described Pope Francis as a symbol of compassion, humility, and peace. He further stated that Pope Francis’s service to humanity earned him love and respect far beyond the Catholic world — on a truly global scale. He praised the Pope’s efforts for the welfare of the poor, the rights of migrants, and his work in building bridges between religions and cultures. Concluding his remarks, Ikramuddin prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul and patience for the bereaved.
