I’m A Celeb’s Oti Mabuse reveals five-word reason for refusing to wear a bikini in jungle

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star Oti Mabuse wore some daring costumes on Strictly Come Dancing, but has vowed to avoid wearing skimpy swimwear in camp, as “I’m not a Bond girl”.

When quizzed on what she would wear while showering in I’m A Celeb’s famous jungle waterfall, Oti said bikinis wouldn’t be going in her suitcase for Australia.

“Listen, I’m not wearing a bikini!” she told The Sun’s TV Mag. “You’re going to see me like I’m going scuba diving.

“You’re getting scuba Oti! You’re not going to be seeing anything. All you’re going to see are my ears!

“You’re not going to see me in a white bikini. I’m not a Bond girl! That’s not why I’m there,” she added, referencing former campmate Myleene Klass’ iconic bikini moment on the show back in 2006.

Oti, who welcomed her first baby last year with husband Marius Iepure, insisted she’s “not the eye candy of the series”, but is completely comfortable with that.

She added: “Hopefully the show has done a great job to provide eye candy. I am not the eye candy of the series and I’m okay with it.”

The professional dancer went on to address the pressure some new mums feel to “snap back” after giving birth, explaining: “The only way I can get over it and feel okay with myself is by not trying to get back to my old self and get my old body back, but genuinely just being like: ‘This is me now’ and embracing it.”

The star recalled seeing how supermodel Heidi Klum walked in the Victoria’s Secret show three months after welcoming her baby, which she respects, but also feels “we need to show that it’s okay if you’re not snatched back in three weeks and have a flat tummy”.

Sharing her new outlook, Oti continued: “If I’m going to get fit, it’s because I want to be healthy for her.”
