I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star Oti Mabuse wore some daring costumes on Strictly Come Dancing, but has vowed to avoid wearing skimpy swimwear in camp, as “I’m not a Bond girl”.
When quizzed on what she would wear while showering in I’m A Celeb’s famous jungle waterfall, Oti said bikinis wouldn’t be going in her suitcase for Australia.
âListen, Iâm not wearing a bikini!â she told The Sun’s TV Mag. âYouâre going to see me like Iâm going scuba diving.
“Youâre getting scuba Oti! Youâre not going to be seeing anything. All youâre going to see are my ears!
“Youâre not going to see me in a white bikini. Iâm not a Bond girl! Thatâs not why Iâm there,” she added, referencing former campmate Myleene Klass’ iconic bikini moment on the show back in 2006.
Oti, who welcomed her first baby last year with husband Marius Iepure, insisted she’s “not the eye candy of the series”, but is completely comfortable with that.
She added: “Hopefully the show has done a great job to provide eye candy. I am not the eye candy of the series and Iâm okay with it.â
The professional dancer went on to address the pressure some new mums feel to “snap back” after giving birth, explaining: âThe only way I can get over it and feel okay with myself is by not trying to get back to my old self and get my old body back, but genuinely just being like: âThis is me nowâ and embracing it.”
The star recalled seeing how supermodel Heidi Klum walked in the Victoriaâs Secret show three months after welcoming her baby, which she respects, but also feels “we need to show that itâs okay if youâre not snatched back in three weeks and have a flat tummy”.
Sharing her new outlook, Oti continued: âIf Iâm going to get fit, itâs because I want to be healthy for her.”
