‘I’m American – I found one food delicious after trying full English breakfast’

An American TikTok user was left stunned after trying a full English breakfast for the first time.

The social media ghost hunter, known as @kalanighosthunter, took to Swindon and visited Blues Café to sample the traditional morning meal. The breakfast spread featured eggs both fried and scrambled, black pudding, mushrooms, sausages, toast, bacon, tomatoes, and somewhat controversially, onion rings.

Though impressed by the meal overall, it did not get off to the best of starts as the American was not overly impressed with black pudding. He said: “Not my absolute favourite by any means, it’s not bad, but I feel like it’s just – I don’t know, it’s just not my favourite.”

However, the sausages were more to his liking, prompting him to note: “That’s tasty, but something I’ve learned here. Brown sauce needs to just go all over.” The combination of beans on toast also caught him off guard, as he admitted: “I did not know I was going to like beans on toast, but this is delicious. The flavour pairing is really good on that.”

He then moved onto sampling the bacon, noticing a “big difference” in UK and US styles. He said: “This is a lot different than the US but I really like this one. I won’t say I like it better than my US bacon. I like the crispy bacon at home. This has a lot of really good flavour.”

Not shying away from experimenting, he added: “Dipping it in the egg yolk, that might be a crime over here but man I love it. I don’t know if it’s a sin over here but I love combining different things on the plate.”

His video has now been viewed more than 92,000 times. One person clarified in the comments section: “Dipping in the egg yolk is a common custom you’re good.”

Others were staggered by the addition of onion rings, with one writing: “In all my British life I have never seen onion rings on a full English.” Another said: “Onion rings on a full English? That’s just wrong.”
