Pakistan’s former prime minister Imran Khan is scheduled to appear in court on Saturday in a corruption case against him. The case pertains to allegations of concealing details of gifts in his assets declarations, as filed by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). Khan is set to attend the proceedings at the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge (ADSJ) Zafar Iqbal.

Law enforcement agencies reportedly attacked the PTI chief’s Lahore residence in Zaman Park in the lead-up to the court appearance. A convoy of party workers has accompanied Khan as he travels to Islamabad, amidst a stand-off between his supporters and security forces who have attempted to arrest him for missing multiple previous hearings.

Khan has stated that he is aware of the possibility of arrest by the government, given the protracted efforts from law enforcement agencies to apprehend him. The PTI party has called on human rights organizations and international media to take notice of the incident and provide coverage of the events.

Imran Khan’s Islamabad home was Raided

The home of Imran Khan in Zaman Park, Lahore was attacked by the police. The PDM-backed police have broken into the former PM’s house for only one reason and that is to plant fake evidence in the place, this is deeply concerning.

‘s wife is home alone home & also, and the police have brutally beaten up workers arresting them for no reason. This is a blatant attack on the rule of law and democracy in Pakistan. The PDM govt & police cannot be allowed to act with such impunity and disregard for the law. Not only are they resorting to violence and illegal tactics, but they are also trying to suppress the media from reporting on their actions. We cannot allow such atrocities to go unnoticed. The world must act now to hold those responsible accountable and restore justice and democracy in Pakistan.

PTI’s social media head Jibran has made a list of international media, and human rights organizations, including higher officials, and requested people to tag them and inform them about the brutality that police have done.
