India’s persistent interference along the Line of Control (LoC) is a pressing concern, not just for Pakistan but for regional stability as a whole. Despite efforts to maintain peace, evidence consistently emerges that highlights India’s subversive activities in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan. These actions, which include ceasefire violations, false flag operations, and the smuggling of arms and explosives, pose a direct threat to civilians and escalate tensions unnecessarily. Instead of fueling conflict, India must focus on its internal challenges, including its strained relations with China and rising domestic instability.
Over the years, India’s military and intelligence agencies have orchestrated numerous acts of aggression along the LoC. Reports from security sources reveal a disturbing pattern of unprovoked firing targeting unarmed civilians. Since 2016, at least 54 incidents of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) planted by Indian forces have been recorded along the LoC. These explosive devices have claimed innocent lives, injured civilians, and instilled fear in peaceful border communities.
The situation has only worsened in recent months. Between February 4 and 6, 2025, four Indian IEDs were discovered in the Battal Sector and Rawalakot, leading to the tragic martyrdom of a civilian. Just days later, on February 12, India once again violated the ceasefire agreement in the Dewa and Bagsar Sectors, injuring two Pakistani soldiers. These actions are not isolated incidents but part of a broader strategy aimed at destabilizing the region.
Beyond direct military aggression, India employs sabotage tactics to spread unrest. The smuggling of weapons, narcotics, and explosives into AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan is a well-documented strategy designed to create chaos and weaken the social fabric of these regions. Indian security forces have even punished officers from their own ranks for using military resources in narcotics and arms smuggling. Units such as 3 Rajputs and 12 Jats have been implicated in these illicit activities, exposing the corruption and lawlessness within India’s own military structure.
Moreover, India has been known to manipulate narratives through false flag operations. By staging fake encounters and blaming Pakistan for cross-border incursions, India attempts to mislead the international community. This pattern of deception serves as a cover-up for its own intelligence failures in occupied Kashmir, where growing resistance continues to expose Indian brutality.
The impact of Indian aggression is felt most by the innocent civilians residing along the LoC. These border communities live under constant threat, as India’s repeated ceasefire violations make daily life uncertain. Children cannot attend school safely, businesses suffer, and the psychological toll of living in a conflict zone continues to mount.
In November 2022, a civilian filmed and killed an Indian soldier who was attempting to hide a weapons cache. This incident, which security sources later confirmed, highlights how India tries to fabricate evidence against Pakistan. Furthermore, discontent within the Indian military has resulted in an alarming rise in suicide cases among Indian soldiers. To avoid scrutiny, many of these cases are falsely labeled as casualties of cross-border firing.
India’s history of subversive activities is not confined to Pakistan. Its intelligence agencies have been linked to covert operations in several other countries, including Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia. The killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada and the failed assassination attempt on Gurpatwant Singh Pannun in the US demonstrate India’s willingness to conduct extrajudicial operations on foreign soil. These incidents have drawn international condemnation and exposed India’s growing reliance on covert violence to suppress dissent.
Rather than engaging in destabilizing activities along the LoC, India would be better served by addressing its internal crises. Its border tensions with China, particularly in the Ladakh region, remain a significant challenge. Indian soldiers have suffered casualties in clashes with Chinese forces, yet the Indian government continues to downplay these incidents. This reluctance to confront China while aggressively provoking Pakistan reflects a misguided strategic approach.
Additionally, India faces rising domestic unrest due to religious extremism, economic downturns, and growing authoritarianism under the Modi administration. The systematic persecution of minorities, suppression of dissent, and curtailing of press freedoms indicate deep-rooted issues within India’s governance. Instead of focusing on creating external conflicts, India should prioritize internal reforms, economic stability, and regional cooperation.
Pakistan has consistently raised concerns about Indian aggression with the United Nations and other international bodies. Evidence of ceasefire violations and IED attacks has been shared with UN officials, reinforcing Pakistan’s commitment to transparency and peace. However, India’s continued refusal to allow UN monitoring on its side of the LoC raises serious questions about its accountability. The global community must recognize India’s actions as deliberate attempts to destabilize the region. Diplomatic pressure must be applied to ensure India abides by ceasefire agreements and refrains from interfering in Pakistan’s internal affairs. A peaceful South Asia benefits all nations, and India must acknowledge that its path of aggression is unsustainable.
India’s subversive activities along the LoC are a dangerous gamble that threatens regional security. While Pakistan remains committed to peace, it will not tolerate continuous violations of its sovereignty. India must shift its focus away from warmongering and instead address its border disputes with China, internal security challenges, and declining democratic values. A responsible nation does not create conflicts. It resolves them. If India truly wishes to be a regional power, it must act like one by prioritizing peace over provocation.
