Interstate 270 ramp to U.S. 23 north to close for three months starting Monday

If you live on Columbus’ South Side, your commute might be changing slightly this week.

The Interstate 270 westbound ramp to U.S. Route 23 northbound will close Monday through September for pavement reconstruction, the Ohio Department of Transportation announced Thursday.

Traffic will be rerouted using the already existing ramps at that intersection.

A stretch of Rathmell Road near U.S. 23 will also close July 12 at 7 p.m. through July 15 at 5 a.m. This closure’s detour is Route 317 to Parsons Avenue to Rathmell Road.

ODOT also announced that Courtright Road over Interstate 70 will close Monday for 90 days while crews work on a bridge. The detour for this closure is Groves Road to Hamilton Road to Livingston Avenue to Courtright Road.

ODOT’s $1.4 billion project to revamp the highways in and around downtown Columbus, dubbed Downtown Ramp Up, will have no new road impacts this week.
