As the Christmas season approaches, many Americans are preparing to spend Christmas Eve with loved ones, attending church services, and enjoying festive traditions.
However, despite the widespread celebration, Christmas Eve is not one of the 11 recognized federal holidays in the United States, meaning for many, it’s still a regular workday rather than a guaranteed day off.
This year, President Joe Biden granted most federal employees the day off, while most Americans continue to work unless they’ve filed for paid time off.
