Islamabad: Sandal Khattak, a popular TikToker, was arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Monday in connection with the leaked videos of fellow TikToker Hareem Shah.
Khattak’s arrest came after her plea for pre-arrest bail was dismissed by Special Judge Central Azam Khan. The case was filed by Hareem Shah, who accused Khattak of leaking objectionable videos on social media. Both TikTok personalities, accompanied by their legal representatives, appeared before the court.
According to Shah, her objectionable video clips were shared on social media by an unknown individual. She alleged that Khattak, along with Ayesha Naz, her former friends with whom she had lived, had stolen the videos from her mobile phone, thereby violating her privacy. Shah subsequently filed a complaint with the FIA under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act and submitted the leaked videos and objectionable photographs as evidence. During the court proceedings, Khattak stated that the videos in question had recently surfaced, despite her estranged relationship with Shah for several months. Khattak denied being involved in creating or leaking objectionable content on social media.
After considering the arguments from both TikTokers’ legal representatives, the judge rejected Khattak’s plea for pre-arrest bail. Subsequently, FIA officials apprehended her outside the courtroom.
