Karachi: In the 10th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Islamabad United defeated Quetta Gladiators by 43 runs easily. The 10th match between Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United was played at the National Stadium in Karachi, in which Gladiators captain Sarfraz Ahmed decided to field first after winning the toss.
PSL 7 Match Summary:
The start of the IU was mind-blowing, IU started batting aggressively with Paul Sterling and Alex Hales scoring a PSL half-century in 3.3 overs. Alex Hales was later dismissed for 55 and returned to the pavilion. He scored 22 runs off 9 balls with the help of five fours. IU gave the target of the highest PSL score 229 by losing only 4 wickets. Azam played a good knock and scored 65 runs in only 35 deliveries.
Quetta’s start was good but later they were failed to score many runs after 6 overs. As usual Captain Sarfraz didn’t score many runs, and they were all out on 186 runs. Shadab took 5 wickets by giving only 28 runs, this was one of the best bowling figures in PSL.
Colin Munro of Islamabad becomes the player of the match for scoring 72 runs, not out in 39 balls.
