Japanese anti-nuclear group awarded Nobel Peace Prize

The 2024 Nobel Peace Prize has been given to Japanese anti-nuclear weapons group Nihon Hidankyo, an organisation made up of atomic bomb survivors. The Nobel committee said it was “alarming” that the taboo of using nuclear weapons is now under threat.
