During an interview with the media, Javed Miandad expressed his views, stating that politics should be kept separate from cricket, and India’s behavior in this regard is inappropriate, especially with Prime Minister Modi destroying cricket. He added that as long as he is in power, things cannot improve.

The former Test cricketer also mentioned that such actions from neighboring countries will harm the cricket of both nations.

Javed Miandad further stated that the standard of Pakistan cricket is far superior to that of Indian cricket.
