A JetBlue pilot was arrested at Boston’s Logan Airport Thursday evening on a warrant from Huntersville for second-degree sex exploitation of a minor, sources told ABC affiliate WCVB.

Jeremy Gudorf, 33, was preparing for a trans-Atlantic flight to Paris when U.S. Customs and Border Protection identified him on the flight manifest and executed the arrest at approximately 8:40 p.m.

The incident happened in October 2024 when he was living in Huntersville. Now he lives in Ohio.
Gudorf was primarily charged with trading pictures, and not actually manufacturing child sexual abuse material.
“He has connections to Mass, NC, and Ohio, and frankly there is no running away from this case,” said Tanvi Verma, Gudolf’s defense attorney. “He’s perfectly aware of that; these are serious charges. The news is here; he’s not going to be able to run away from this.”
“His decision-making skills are off, so will that affect his flying? Yeah, I would be concerned,” said Greta Crouch, a passenger at Charlotte Douglas.

“I think that he should not be flying, I think because pilots are held to a higher standard,” said Julie Lopez, who is married to a pilot.
Gudolf has been placed on indefinite leave from JetBlue following the charges. The judge set his bond at $10,000, and he must report to Mecklenburg County by Tuesday or face returning to jail.
Despite his ties to the airline industry, Gudolf’s attorney suggested he would rent a car and drive to Charlotte for his court appearance.
The case has raised concerns among passengers and those in the aviation industry about the standards and responsibilities held by pilots. Gudolf’s legal proceedings will continue as he faces serious charges in North Carolina.
