Joann is now set to shutter all its stores around the country, including more than a dozen locations in Massachusetts.

The fabric and craft retail chain was auctioned off to a new ownership group on Saturday after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy twice in the last year, including once in January.

The new ownership group announced Monday it will shut down operations after holding going-out-of-business sales at all stores.

The company had previously announced the closure of roughly 500 of its more than 800 stores around the country, including most of its locations in Massachusetts.

Joann was auctioned off to GA Group, a retail liquidator.

Scott Carpenter, CEO of GA Group’s Retail Solutions and Wholesale & Industrial Solutions teams, said that most of the closing Joann stores would remain open until the end of May, according to the Akron Beacon Journal, part of the USA TODAY Network.

Going-out-of-business sales at the 500 stores that were previously confirmed to be closing started on Feb. 15.

The sales will now roll out to all of the retailer’s remaining stores.

According to USA TODAY, most stores have base discounts around 10-20%, with some Christmas items discounted as much as 75% off.

The retailer has more information available for customers on its restructuring website, joannrestructuring.com.

Joann previously announced that 19 of its 20 locations in Massachusetts would be closing, with its Milford store remaining open. All 20 stores are now set to shutter.
