JOHNSON COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – A Johnson County man has been arrested and charged with one count of electronically furnishing obscene material to a minor.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office announced on Friday, December 27th that Kelvin James, 36, was arrested and charged.
According to authorities, information was obtained by the Criminal Investigation Division of the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office on the evening of Thursday, December 26th, and after receiving this information, investigators gathered information and evidence in order to obtain an arrest warrant for James.

At approximately 12:01 A.M. on Friday, December 27th, authorities state that investigators and deputies responded to James’ residence to execute the arrest warrant, and James was taken into custody with no incident and transported to the Johnson County Jail.
According to authorities, James admitted to sending obscene material to a 15-year-old, and it was determined that this allegation began in October of 2024 and lasted through December.
