Kamala Harris recently announced her running mate for November’s election, and it isn’t Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear.
Harris chose Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz on Tuesday, Reuters reported citing CNN, thrusting the outspoken Midwestern statesman into the national spotlight while adding a key ally to her fast-moving campaign for the presidency.

Tim Walz ‘refects very poorly’ on Harris’ decision making
Brendan Buck, who served as an adviser to Paul Ryan, former Republican House Speaker, said on X that Harris’ selection of Walz as her VP “reflects very poorly on her decision making.”

Some express disappointment over Kentucky’s Andy Beshear
Robert Kahne, delegate to the Democratic National Convention, posted saying he hoped for Beshear, but has been a “big fan” of Walz since 2018. X user Emma Mont also posted with a “Toy Story” meme in support of the Kentucky governor.
I wish it were Andy but if it’s not him I’m glad it’s Walz. I’ve been a big fan since he won in 2018 by 10 points after HRC almost lost Minnesota

Keith Boykin, former White House aide and National Black Justice Coalition co-founder, said he originally wanted Beshear for VP, but is happy with Harris’ pick.
