Louisville received a second round of significant snow in less than a week Friday, accumulating amounts ranging from 3-5 inches around the city.
A winter storm warning officially ends at 7 a.m. Saturday. While snow and ice continue to blanket the ground and impact road conditions, Saturday is not expected to bring any precipitation.
The high will reach about 32 degrees, setting the table for Sunday’s temperatures to climb above freezing for the first time since Jan. 4, according to the National Weather Service.

Officials for Jefferson County Public Schools announced all athletic events and extracurricular activities are canceled for Saturday.

A decision for whether school will be in session Monday has yet to be announced, though spokesperson Carolyn Callahan said families will be alerted by 5 a.m. Monday at the latest.
Precipitation is not in the forecast Saturday, though road conditions could still be slick in some areas as road crews continue to work. On Sunday, the National Weather Service projects a mostly sunny day and a high of 37 degrees.
