Kneron expands into Riyadh with a new subsidiary in Saudi Arabia

Kneron Inc., a US-based provider of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions specialising in the design and development of integrated software, has announced the establishment of a new subsidiary in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The initiative will be launched through a strategic partnership with the country’s National Semiconductor Hub (NSH) and the National Technology Development Program.

The new venture aims to support Saudi Arabia’s burgeoning semiconductor ecosystem and will focus on AI development, cultivating local talent and technology transfer. The company hopes to help partners develop and adopt AI.

The opening of Kneron’s office also aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, the Kingdom’s flagship plan to diversify and grow the economy. The plan emphasizes the development of AI, smart cities and the digital economy. Local talent development development will remain a top priority in order to promote scientific and technological progress in the area.

Albert Liu, founder and CEO of Kneron, stated, “We are excited to leverage our AI expertise alongside Saudi Arabia’s rich resources and talent pool. Our goal is to deepen our collaboration with local businesses, research institutions, and universities. Together, we aim to pioneer advanced technologies and expedite their implementation.”

Kneron has successfully raised $195m from global investors, including Sequoia China, Qualcomm, Horizon Ventures, Foxconn, SparkLabs, and various other key industry leaders.
