Lenawee County students named to Concordia University 2023-24 Spring Honors List

ANN ARBOR — A handful of Lenawee County students were recently named to the Spring Honors List of students for the 2023-24 academic year at Concordia University.

To be eligible for the honor, students must have achieved a minimum 3.60 grade point average and completed at least 12 undergraduate credits.

Among the area students named to the list were:

Adrian: Molly Breitenbach, senior, Family Life Ministry; Austin Burciaga, freshman, Computer Science; and Lisa Howland, freshman, Elementary Education.

Britton: Jack Burnett, junior, Business Management.

Clinton: Lena Korte, junior, K-12 Education, Physical Education Health.

Manitou Beach: Lindsey Boss, freshman, Elementary Education.

Tecumseh: Jared Stiver, senior, Business Management.

Founded in 1963, Concordia University Ann Arbor offers more than 40 undergraduate majors and is affiliated with The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The campus is located on 187 acres overlooking the Huron River.

Concordia University Wisconsin releases Spring Honors List

MEQUON, Wis. — One Lenawee County student attending secondary education at Concordia University Wisconsin was named among those students on the Spring Honors List for the 2023-24 academic year.

To be eligible for the honor, students must have achieved a minimum 3.60 grade point average and completed at least 12 undergraduate credits.

Adrian’s Jahneka Moore, senior, Elementary Education, was recognized.

Founded in 1881, Concordia University Wisconsin offers more than 70 undergraduate majors and is affiliated with The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The school is located on 200 acres of Lake Michigan shoreline, only 15 minutes north of downtown Milwaukee.

Local student received scholarship from NTC Foundation

BEMIDJI, Minn. — Sarah Pilbeam, a student at Northwest Technical College, originally from Morenci, was honored during an Oct. 23 celebration of NTC Foundation scholarship recipients.

Pilbeam received an NTC Foundation Scholarship, an announcement said.

In total, the celebration recognized 35 recipients of scholarships totaling $62,000 to support their education.

Located in Bemidji, Minnesota, NTC-Bemidji’s Technical College is a member of the colleges and universities of Minnesota State.
