Lisa Kudrow and Ray Romano filmed hit sitcoms ‘300 yards from each other’ but never met. Now they’re playing husband and wife.

Lisa Kudrow is checking off an item on her acting bucket list thanks to her new show No Good Deed with Ray Romano. The actors play husband and wife in the dark comedy from creator Liz Feldman (Dead to Me).

Despite being some of the most famous faces on TV for almost a decade, the two never crossed paths before co-starring in the Netflix series.

“We had never met,” Kudrow told Yahoo Entertainment.

It’s surprising, given Kudrow, 61, and Romano, 66, were neighbors on the Warner Bros. lot for years as they filmed Friends and Everybody Loves Raymond, respectively.

“We worked on the same [lot] about 300 yards away from each other,” Romano said.

“We never left our stage,” Kudrow added.

“We had never met before [No Good Deed], but from afar, we were fans of each other and we thought this would be great to hook up and work.”

No Good Deed follows Lydia (Kudrow) and Paul (Romano) as they list their 1920s Spanish-style home in a highly sought-after neighborhood in Los Angeles. The listing brings a cast of characters through their door who will do anything to get their dream home. It also brings to the surface a secret Lydia and Paul were trying to bury.

The bar is high for Kudrow to sign on to do any kind of comedy series, but she said she couldn’t pass up the chance to play Romano’s onscreen wife.

“That’s one of my dreams that I didn’t think would happen. I’m not kidding. It’s not hyperbole,” she said. “I would watch him in something and say, ‘See now that’s who I’d love to work with, oh my God. He’s so good.'”

Romano quipped: “And obviously, look how good an actress she is!”

No Good Deed starts streaming on Netflix Dec. 12.
