A predator who kidnapped and sexually assaulted a girl, 11, in north London has been jailed.
Adam Baillie, 39, of Spring Way, Harrow was sentenced to life imprisonment, with a minimum term of 10 years, for kidnap and sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl who was not known to him.
Harrow Crown Court heard how Baillie kidnapped the girl on her way home from primary school in Harrow on April 19, 2024.
He then took her to his property where he seriously sexually assaulted her.
She was able to flee, and with the help of neighbours, the police were notified, which allowed officers to identify him and led to his arrest.

Met PC Georgia Devaney-Brighton said: “Today we achieved justice for this courageous girl and I hope the severity of the sentence can provide some comfort to her and her family.
“This was an appalling crime which sent shockwaves through the local community. This young victim-survivor has shown remarkable bravery throughout this process, her strength and willingness to work with us has been vital in securing this conviction.
“I want to thank her and her family for their trust in the police and for their resilience during such a distressing time.”
