Man whose body was found at Welsh beauty spot is named by police

Police have identified a man whose body was discovered at a Welsh beauty spot. Officers for South Wales Police have provided an update on their investigations after they were called to reports of a body at Rhossili, Gower, on Saturday, December 21.

Police, who were called to the scene at 11.45am that morning, have now identified the man as 47-year-old Mark Owen. Officers said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death. For the latest Swansea news, sign up to our newsletter here.

A spokesman for South Wales Police said: “Officers were called to Rhossili Beach, Gower, Swansea, at around 11:45am on Saturday, December 21, after a report that a body had been found on the shore. The person was pronounced dead at the scene.
