Nov. 8—Many government agencies will close their offices in honor of Veterans Day on Monday.
* Most federal and state offices will close, reopening for regular business hours Tuesday.
* All city of Santa Fe offices and facilities will be closed, including all Santa Fe Public Library locations and the Municipal Court. The Marty Sanchez Links de Santa Fe Golf Course will remain open. The Parking Division will observe Nov. 11 as a meter holiday, meaning people can park in metered parking spaces at no charge, although surface lots and garages will still be subject to fees.
* Santa Fe County administrative offices will close on Monday. Solid waste convenience centers will be closed, as they usually are Mondays, the county said in a news release. All activities at senior centers will be canceled and home-delivered meals will be provided to eligible seniors in advance of the closure. Essential public safety services will continue without interruption.
* Santa Fe Public Schools will be open.
* The New Mexico Rail Runner Express and all Rio Metro buses will operate on a regular weekday schedule. Santa Fe Trails and Ride will operate on a holiday schedule, and transit administrative offices will be closed.
* Entrance fees will be waived Monday at all National Park Service sites, including Bandelier National Monument. The ABQ BioPark is offering $1 admission on Monday.
* New Mexico residents who are veterans or active-duty military can visit the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs’ 16 museums and historic sites for free from Saturday through Monday.
* The city of Santa Fe Veterans Day event scheduled for Monday at the Bataan Memorial Building has been canceled due to the weather forecast. However, a lunch at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2951, 307 Montezuma Ave., will proceed as planned.
