Maryland State Police busted 11 car rallies around Maryland this weekend, finding an illegal gun and a stolen car.
Police said officers responded between 10:40 p.m. Saturday and 4 a.m. Sunday to locations in Baltimore City, Windsor Mill, Catonsville, Glen Burnie, Laurel, White Marsh and Prince George’s County where up to 200 people were gathered and arrested seven people, according to a news release from state police. Charges included disorderly conduct, traffic offenses, DUI, and assault on police, according to the release.
The rallies, known as takeovers, involve blocking roads for “illegal exhibition driving,” police said.
