Maryland weather: Snowy Thursday could impact commute

Jan. 16—Scattered snow showers started trickling throughout the Baltimore area on Thursday morning, prompting at least one school district to cancel after-school activities.

Thursday’s afternoon and evening commute in Maryland could be hazardous because of snowy, slippery conditions, according to a statement by the National Weather Service.

There is a 30%-to-40% chance of rain and snow again Saturday before 10 a.m. with a high of 44. The evening will be mostly cloudy and 32 degrees.
