NORTH CANTON, Ohio (WJW) – One lucky lottery player is celebrating after winning $40,000 during the Mega Millions drawing Tuesday night.
According to Ohio Lottery, the winning ticket was sold at the Giant Eagle in the 1900 block of E. Maple Street in North Canton.
Tuesday’s winning numbers for the then-$760 million jackpot were 56, 66, 67, 68, 69 and Mega Ball 18.

The North Canton winner matched four of the five white balls and the Mega Ball to win $10,000, but thanks to the Megaplier, their winnings were multiplied by four, according to Ohio Lottery.
They will take home about $28,800 after mandatory state and federal taxes.

Nobody claimed the massive prize Tuesday night, bringing the jackpot to $825 million with a $382.2 million cash option. It’s now the seventh largest in the lottery game’s history.
The next Mega Millions drawing will be Friday night at 11 p.m.
