Melton John? Ice Ice Bladey? DelDOT invites students to enter ‘Name That Plow’ contest

As temperatures cool, the Delaware Department of Transportation’s “Name That Plow” contest is heating up.

For the fourth year, the contest gives Delaware students in kindergarten to fifth grade the chance to name snowplows and recognize snowplow drivers and technicians.

“Keeping our roads clear and safe during winter storms is a vital task, and our dedicated crews take great pride in their work,” DelDOT Secretary of Transportation Nicole Majeski said. “The … contest is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn about snow removal and connect with DelDOT’s efforts to keep our state moving.”

One winner from each county will be selected, and a snowplow driver will visit their school to show students a plow truck.
