The Met Office has warned that more snow could hit parts of the UK next week as temperatures plunge.
The cold snap is expected to come after a mild weekend which will see temperatures reach around 12c in Manchester and across the country on Saturday and Sunday.
However, from Monday onwards, the Met Office has warned things will turn ‘colder’ and parts of Scotland and England could see snow.

Tuesday will then remain cold with a widespread frost and fog first thing. Rain will then spread east across the UK with some snow likely over high ground in Scotland and northern England.
The rest of the week will likely remain unsettled, especially for northern and western parts of the UK.
Met Office Chief Meteorologist Matthew Lehnert said “By Saturday, the whole of the UK is in a milder airmass. There will be a fair amount of cloud around, with further rain arriving in the west later in the day. Another changeable day is expected on Sunday whilst remaining mild.”
“By Monday, it will turn colder again with cloud and rain clearing south followed by showers which will fall as snow to lower levels in the far north.”
According to the latest Met Office weather maps, isolated areas of northern Scotland could see snow throughout Monday afternoon. Then, from Tuesday night and into Wednesday, large parts of Cumbria, Lancashire, Northumberland, Yorkshire, the Peak District, and northern and southern Scotland could see heavier snow showers.
