Middle Tennessee mom charged in connection with child’s drowning death in Drakes Creek

The mother of a 7-year-old girl has been arrested after the girl drowned in Drakes Creek over the weekend.

Hendersonville Police responded to the scene near Sanders Ferry Road after authorities were notified of the drowning on Saturday, according to a release.

Investigators said they found that Brandi Elliott, 33, was responsible for her daughter’s death.

Elliot was taken to the Sumner County Jail Sunday and charged with first degree murder.

She is being jailed without bond.
