According to global times news agency Europe, Hertfordshire, UK – In a significant step toward fostering international academic collaboration, the Honourable Javed Iqbal Badhanvi, Minister of Rehabilitation for Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), visited the University of Hertfordshire on 9th September. The visit, coordinated by Wajahat Ali Javed, Chairperson of the Students Society at the University, marks a milestone in connecting AJK students with world-class learning opportunities. During the visit, the Minister was warmly received at the Students’ Union (SU) main office by Wajahat Ali Javed, alongside other key society representatives including Dylan Huber (Secretary), Moureen (Treasurer), and Izabella (Coordinator). The team briefed the distinguished guest on the extensive services provided by the SU and highlighted the various support systems available to international students. The Minister also met with the SU’s Chief Executive Officer, where fruitful discussions led to an agreement on hosting online educational sessions for students from Kashmir.
These sessions aim to provide students with access to new learning pathways and professional development opportunities. Later, Minister Javed Iqbal Badhanvi held an important meeting with University Vice-Chancellor Professor Quintin McKellar, accompanied by student representatives including Wajahat Ali Javed. The Minister congratulated the Vice-Chancellor on receiving the prestigious King’s Award and took the opportunity to discuss key issues such as scholarships for Kashmiri students and the arrangement of e-learning programs for both students and professionals.
